Hi can anyone tell me if it is possible to remove clutch and brake pedals to renew bushes with the gearbox still in the car. thanks.

You don't need to remove the gearbox - but you will have to take up the carpet and remove the gearbox cover plate in the floor.

It is the other way around - to remove the gearbox, you must disconnect the clutch and brake pedals. A LHD is slightly easier set up.

There is no need to disconnect the brake pedal when removing the gearbox.
To remove the gearbox the clutch relay shaft and associated linkage must be disconnected and removed.

Gentlemen - this is all most illuminating, but the OP didn't want to remove the gearbox. So, for the sake of clarity for 'meganwilkinson2008', I repeat that it is entirely possible to remove the clutch and brake pedals with the gearbox still in the car. It is, however, necessary to take up the carpet and remove the gearbox cover plate in the floor.
