The cleaned up lock bolt was then replaced in the assembly

and the barrel retaining pin punched back in.
Next, reassemble the handel. washer, spiral spring an cowl in the order that they were removed in.
Jam the whole assembly back in teh vice to push the cowl past the filed off shaft "wings"

I then decided to drill the retaining roll-pin hole on the other set of flats to preserve the stampings.

If you don't have access to roll-pins, use anything else that can be punched into whatever diameter hole you decide to drill.
