Rear shock castle nut?

Post by mattyguk1 »

Hi all, can anybody tell me how tight the castle nuts on the rear damper links to chassis legs should be done up? Is there a shoulder on the pin attached to the chassis you tighten to as I seem to be compressing the bush a fair bit ?

The nut should be done up tight with the washer against the shoulder. Then slacken off the castellated nut just enough to be able to insert the split pin.

The after market bushes may be deeper than original but still do the nut up as above.

You can get poly bushes for the rear damper links.
