What has happened to all the old website technical instructions?

Post by gtt1951 »

I've been try to get hold of MMOC instructions on how to do things the "easy way", but it looks like these were never migrated (just like the photos in the old posts) to the new website.
What I want was originally referenced by this article, which now throws up an error.

Can any MODERATORS or webmasters help?

This particular link is supposed to show, in detail, how to bend the torsion bar out of the way to remove the Master Cylinder fixing bolts.

George.

This doesn’t answer your general question - but is this the page?

The photo of the method of prising the torsion bar downwards is very helpful - I did not find this in all the posts that came up with my original search query.

Many thanks, has given me some ideas but, as you say, what happened to the original store of Technical Tips we used to have, like polarizing a Dynamo etc. that I used when I first joined.

Regards, George.

This came up a while ago ago, and it seems that the Tech Tips is unavailable for some reason - and has been for some time. Maybe no-one thought to continue it after a website re-fresh? It can't be that hard to resurrect.........can it?

Probably not hard, no, but certainly time consuming.
