Hi,
Any advice on fitting a needle roller bearing into an Ital crankshaft without collapsing it!
Many thanks,
Martin.

Re: Ital needle roller bearing
So long as your are not using a large lump hammer the needle roller bearing carrier can be knocked into the rear of the crankshaft.
Before you knock the bearing into the rear of the crankshaft - have you tried fitting the bearing onto the Minor first motion shaft and does it fit?

Hi Phil,
I have not got access to the gearbox yet,but through these forums I am reliably informed that the nose diameter is around .50”.
I tried a half inch bar in the bearing and it fitted fine.
Also measured the o.d of the bearing which matched the internal diameter of the Ital crank,.750”.
Looking good!
Martin.
