Brass drain tap for radiators

Post by jagnut66 »

Hi,
I have just received the brass drain tap I ordered to replace the damaged one on my high top series 2 radiator and I would like to report it is a perfect fit / thread match, so I can recommend it to anyone who requires one or who would like to fit one to the later 1098 flat top radiator. I believe there is a blanking nut fitted to the later rads that could be removed and replaced with a tap if so desired.
The only additional thing it requires is a fibre washer, which are readily available.
Best wishes,
Mike.
