Fuel pump

Post by Willienelson »

Hi all

I’ve had a fuel pump failure and have been on line to find a replacement but there are a couple of different options, anyone any idea of the correct part number for a 1965 saloon?

Many thanks

The correct pump is an S.U. pump, part number AUA66.

Hope you were in a safer place than I was when our pump packed up last week! Now I’ve discovered that the pump works but the inside of the rubber fuel line has turned to gelatinous mush and blocked the flow of fuel.

Hi Steve

We were very lucky, had been through Wallasey tunnel and over toward Southport and he waited until we were 1 mile from home before stuttering to a halt!

Managed to limp him home to the safety of the garage where we can work in relative comfort.

Whereabouts were you when it packed up?

Pete
