Manifolds

Post by burnham28 »

I have two manifolds that came with a box of bits one has 12A 4141 stamped on it the other has 12G 3538 stamped on it. Both look the same which one is the correct one for my 1968 1098cc engine.

My 1969 Traveller has the 12A1141 fitted, I assume it is original to the car.

If the manifold stamped 12A 4141 is the correct one for a 1098cc engine then what does the one stamped 12G 3538 fit ? They both look the same to me.

The 12G3538 is a larger bore manifold from a 1275 Marina - worth a few quid more than the standard Minor one as you can use it with a large bore downpipe. Compare the bore sizes and you’ll see the difference 😀
