MGB EGNINE IN MORRIS

Hey, im currently researching into putting an mgb 1800 engine and gearbox into my morris. has anyone done this and have they got any tips for doing it. I understand that new mounting points will need to be made and brakes will need upgrading. hope you lot can help.

The B-Series engine is much heavier than the A-Series and produces a lot more torque, which will very likely destroy the halfshafts in no time. The link is to someone who did it, and found, very predictably, that the heavier engine created a lot of understeer, particularly in the wet, which is not a very desirable driving characteristic!

What do you want to achieve with the B-Series that cannot be achieved with a modified A-Series?

it would be no more work to fit a lighter, newer, better engine, probably cheaper too. Certainly be better for handling.
