With grateful thanks from me also.Declan_Burns wrote: ↑Thu Dec 24, 2020 11:13 am Maybe this version might be better. I will order a test piece. It would take two cable ties or two M2 screws and nylocs.

All the best for the new year.

Re: 3D printed suspension parts
Nearly there.
I have just received these back from the 3D printing service. These are TPU and I think this is going to work. One small change required but nothing major. I am quite pleased. This could save a lot of owners a lot of work!

That trunnion to swivel seal looks good. Well done.
But I would suggest that if the trunnion to swivel seal has failed the suspension should be stripped and the trunnion and swivel threads cleaned - any crud left in there will only wear the threads.

Re: 3D printed suspension parts
Phil,
Some of these seals fail before a restoration has even been completed and the car back on the road. This is especially the case in the MG scene. They just crack and break up. I put it down to ozone problems.

I agree with you about the quality and (short) levity of current rubber/neoprene seals.
That is why I am always on the lookout for BMC/BL/Unipart Minor NOS seals which do not seem to deteriorate even though they are several years old.

All the bushes had cracks in them before we finished our restoration (3 years storred in the dark), still seem to work ok though.Declan_Burns wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 6:06 pm Phil,

Some of my original BMC seals are still perfect even after 40 plus years.
