Series 2 803cc Diff

Post by CHRIS J »

I have replace the pinion oil seal on my 1953 series 2 with the early type Diff, The the pinion nut is a nylon lock nut in the manual for this early diff it just states tighten nut and fit spit pin
mine does not have a split pin, so does any one know how tight this nut should be?

If it does not agree with the appropriate workshop manual, I would think there may be the possibility that the differential is not original. Is it the expected ratio?
