Gentlemen, I understand the speedo cable is very easy to replace on a standard Minor.
My ‘61 Minor is fitted with the Ford Type 9 gearbox and 4.22 diff. Is the cable just as simple to replace on this gearbox? I realise it’s a different cable obviously.
I have a little speedometer “bounce” at lower speeds and while I could probably live with it as is (since it’s steady at normal driving speeds) I’d rather put it right and figured the cable would be the first thing to look at.

Re: Speedo Cable Replacement - Ford Type 9 ‘box
Some T9 boxes are fitted with an angle drive between the box and the cable itself - so there may be an intermediate step - but the speedo cable is secured to the type 9 with a circlip, remove this and the cable comes away
