piston dish
I'm trying to calculate the head volume we need on our re-built and mildly modified engine, one thing I am struggling to find is the piston dish volume for a 1098 8:1 CR piston, any one know this?

Re: piston dish
I think that for a high compression engine (which it sounds as though yours is) that the dish is in the region of 7cc (that's the value given by David Vizard for Hepolite 20397 pistons in a 1098cc engine with 8.5:1 CR).

Re: piston dish
I have 6.9cc written in my notes from my last engine build. Sprite 3cc pistons are available as well as flat-tops.

Re: piston dish
Thanks,
I will start off with 7cc now and measure one later to be sure.
