Hi can someone advise why the car jumps out if 4th gear on occasion.Also does anyone have a small piece of traveller wood the one that runs from the back door to front door outside at hip height.Need just a couple of inches to fill gaps and happy to pay.

I would suggest that you need a new 3rd/4th synchro unit. The springs may have become weak.
