From the above ( with a pancake type filter fitted ) can anyone give an educated guess whether it would fit ?

Maybe if an SU inlet elbow was used and adapted to take a filter somehow. I did a crude version for my Commer camper when I did an SU conversion

Yep that's a 3" gutter down pipe elbow. A version of it is still on the van now altered to take modified original air box with K&N element (cone was too noisy)

After looking at the various pictures I will make a qualified guess and say no when using the carb adapter as supplied. Also I am of the opinion that it will not fit the Minor even when fitted with a pan cake air filter.
If the carb could be turned through 90 degrees to face the wiper motor or even 180 degrees to end up facing the radiator utilising a 'U' bend it may then fit.
I would be reluctant to purchase unless I was assured that it would all go together and fit a Minor without too much effort.
