How do I fit new rear light chrome?

Post by hammy1708 »

Hello,

after successfully replacing my front grille with the advice given to me by all you experts out there, I'm back for some advice and tips on how to replace the chrome parts on my rear lights.

The chrome on my rear lights is like the surface of the moon so I managed to buy a couple of new ones from Ebay, while I'm sure they will be far from the same quality as the originals I hope to get a couple of years shinyness from them before they fall to peices in the same was as most new replacements parts do!

So while I want shiny new parts I don't want to ruin my car or electricute myself so can I please have some advice as to how to replace them.

Thanks in advance

Hammy :D

there are 2 screws underneath - undo these, unclip the wires in the boot. That's about it.

Fit the new ones in the same way and re-connect the wires in the boot. Red gos to red, black goes to balck etc...

ps - undoing the screws is going to be painful. I hope the replacements came with fresh screws

A good idea to disconnect the battery as well before starting.
