Parcel shelf!

hi all I have 5 Minors but none had a Parcel shelf when I bought them, I am about to fit the first one but have no idea how it fits to the bulkhead, I bought the parcel shelf what fixings do I need? I got 2 screw for the iron bad and crashpadding but what else? a good diagram would be very helpful! 10x

originally they were fitted with rivets, a special type i think called byferb rivets or simialr along the bulkhead also into the crash pad itself

also another 2 on the battery shelf to hold that part up

there was also a peice of rubber joining the split by the steering wheel column

Thanks Den!! helped a lot will have a good look at the bulkhead tomorrow :D I'll probably have to cut a piece of the shelf for the extinguisher to fit in it's original place :)

Lift the bonnet and you'll easily spot the holes in the bulkhead where the shelf attaches.
I used fat self-tappers and large washers to attach mine.
I got the screws from an old Ford (they're all the same), the large ones used to hold the internal handrests on doors are what you need.
What would Macgyver do..?

You must obtain the correct width of front bar for each particular car as they vary by a few inches. The large screws which hold the bar to the sides of the car also have special washers, difficult to describe but worth looking at one on a complete car.
