All I can say is OMG what have I done.

finally got the back and cab off .

What is the section called or part number of the panel that fixes to the chassis at the bottom of the cab . The bit with the arch in it and the brake cables go through????????

Lower rear cab panel? Esm no doubt sell them. Their panels are shown on their website. You've got some heavy work ahead of you, your photos bring back some terrible memories. :(

where do I start ??? I was considering replacing the full B post , I assume I will have to do the floor pan and cils as well . basically a full rebuild .
All tips , help , ideas more than welcome .

Its going to be a long slow rebuild as money is tight and I haven't even got a welder yet. Looking on ebay so if anyone can suggest a good make and spec id appreciate the info as well.

I tackled mine in 3 parts----chassis ---cab----rear cargo. Concentrate on one part at a time. I favour chassis first, you then have somewhere to put the other parts when they are ready. If you have room you can even refit the axle and many other parts to the finished chassis, this all gives you some encouragement to keep going. Cab next maybe, as this can then be mounted on chassis when done. Followed by repairing the cargo area. As for where to start on each of the 3 parts will depend on what is sound and what has disappeared! Sounds easy doesn't it, when written down? If you do decide to tackle it in these separate parts, you should at least not have it all to face at once.
As for welders I have an SIP 170, many people seem not to like them but mine has given faultless service throughout a full blown restoration. However you decide to go, good luck.

Does anyone know how tall / long B post repair sections are I think I need it to be at least 10" as you can see its a little rusty.

About 5-6 inches, and pretty useless--the section is way out. I'm going back a bit so I suppose it's possible things have got better. Be nice if you could get a s/h B post. 4 door saloon would fit.

DVLA vehicle check site states that WCS 374K is still a red 1098 Austin, first registered March 1972 and taxed until 1st March 2022.
So still out there somewhere and it looks like it made it back onto the road.
However, you are right, it would be nice to know what happened next?...............................
