After reading complaints about the poor quality of split screen front window rubbers, does anyone know where I can get a good quality one?
Also, is it better to get original parts re-chromed or can I get decent new ones from somewhere as I have read lots of complaints about the quality of those as well?
Thanks,
Pete

If your original parts are sound and you have access to a quality plater that charges a fair price that's the way to go!Repro stuff isn't the same quality in my opinion.Plus you're preserving the originality.

Re: Split screen rubbers and chrome
i bought a split screen rubber from a supplier and it was useless.Bull motif had an advert in minor matters which read"our screen rubbers fit". this was about five years ago. anyway the Bull motif one was a lot easier to work with but still needed adeasive around the outside flange, we cut two lengths of 2x2 and wedged it between each seat and each screen to shove the glass in tight while the adesive had set over night. fitting the chrome trim was the easy part.hope this helps, graham
