Convertible window Frames

Post by plg422d »

The paint work on my convertibles rear 3/4 Window frame keeps catching when the hood is raised or lowered. I have seen Stainless Steel frames which would stop the problem and in deed match the door frame. Does anyone know where these can be bought?

Thanks

That's a well known problem. I glued some rubber on the hood frame as you can see in the photo. I also experimented with rubber on the window frame. I bought the window frames from one of the major suppliers down south and had them chrome plated. I should have fitted them before the chroming. They are repro rubbish and nowhere near the quality of the originals and some holes are even missing. I will have the originals chrome plated over the winter. I have never seen stainless steel ones but would also be interested.
