paint code

Post by gluck »

I'm going to repaint some wings but we don't use ICI or BMC codes in Belgium so i'm trying to find a conversion between BMC (or ICI) paint codes and RAL ones (international norm). Could someone help me if it exists?

Sorry mate I doubt if any Morris colours have an equivalent RAL no.

I just checked the engine bay of mine (Trafalgar Blue) and couldn't find anything even close.

As the outside of mine is very non standard Yellow I was thinking of getting some RAL spec paint (through the business) but it looks like I'll have to get proper cellulose mixed

I would say you have 2 choices - either
1) Buy spray cans from a UK supplier or:
2) try to find a local paint supplier who will match the colour from a sample.

If you go this way, you should be able to get the mixed paint put in a spray can.
