Traveller Seats, 1962

Post by whyperion »

For a October 1962 1098 Grey (light blue in the real world) Traveller, what would be the original colour seats?

Black , or Light Blue ?
Vynal or Leather ?

Both Drivers and Passenger Side to Tip and fold, or one side only ?

I assume that the October 62 registrations could be part of the intermediate change to full 1098cc spec and therefore expect anything that could have been thrown out of the works at the time.

My preference is for light blue, leather, tipping / folding seats at front and light blue wide strip leather seats to rear (simply because I have some ), and selling off the black existing rear seats .

Originally your car would have had blue seats (std) or blue duotone seats (deluxe) with narrow banding - the passenger seat would have had the folding back but the drivers seat would have been fixed.

As always it's your choice over original spec or your own spec
