Sandy Beige was not a colour option at the time those glovebox lids were produced. I imagine the owner wishes to repaint them to match his dashboard anyway?

I think you might just be confusing the colour of the internal lining and the actual paintwork. it would be a pretty terrible image to make Sandy Beige look so blue/grey...... :-?
It'll be Black when fitted.

I have made a small batch of very nice stainless steel glovebox stays which have been laser cut if anybody is looking for them.
