Hi I own 1968 4 door saloon that needs both chassis legs replacing and upper and lower front cross members replaced! Could someone tell me the best way to approach this please? Which part should be replaced 1st, the cross members or the chassis legs?
Appreciate any feedback
Thanks
Richard

Chassis legs first. If you do the front crossmember first and weld it to the old legs then you'll need to cut it back off to get the old legs off.

Biggest problem will be keeping it all aligned.

Chassis legs first but replace one at a time - do not remove both chassis legs together. Use the old chassis leg that is still in place for datum points.

Constantly measure to ensure everything remains straight and true.

Measure twice and cut once.

Many thanks for the excellent advice! Do you fit the top half of the front cross member before the lower part? Do the holes for the engine mountings help lining up the chassis leg as they bolt right through?
Thanks
Richard
