1969 Traveller Restoration

Post by Stubmiester »

Hi All,

Really looking for some help please.

I am 5 years into a restoration which has faltered over the last 3 years!
I am looking for help to fit the side panels, rear and doors and then the roof.
The traveller has been restored form the ground up. All new wood, panels resprayed and fitted, New inner sills etc etc.
I am now stuck having no experience (or the knowledge or confidence) to fit the sides and back end.
My post code is LE14 4QX, which is near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
Is there anyone out there?
Please let me know.

Practical Classics magazine produced an excellent book on Morris Minor restoration which covered replacing the wood frame in great details.
I would look for a copy of that if still available.

I'd be surprised if you haven't got it already, but Ray Newell's Morris Minor Traveller book with a section by Steve Foreman of Woodies is invaluable. I'm just reading it before fitting the side windows in mine. You're rushing a bit, I've just gone over eight years on mine!

Good luck

Mark
