Does anyone know the thread specification of the studs on the chrome plates mounted either side of the speedo (later models)?

Re: Speedo facia studs
I am beginning to doubt my BA theory.
I have taken some measurements.
The OD of the threads is 0.135in.
TPI looks like 32.
Sooo ... It is looking like UNC #6-32
Can anyone confirm this?

Re: Speedo facia studs
I am now able to answer my own question.
It is #6-32 UNC.
I bought some on-line and can confirm that they fitted perfectly.
I hope this might be useful to others who are dealing with missing studs and/or nuts (as I was).

Re: Speedo facia studs
Great stuff Don, I’m a long way putting these trims on my van .. it’s the short ones in height .
My ones are in my extremely waited loft. TPI 32 number seems high for UNC is it UNF
What I have found over the years is lowdown on the Morris there are more BSF / Whitworth and a higher up the car you go they use more modern fixings , UNF, UNC , BA etc...... but no metric sizes as far as I know... maybe on a 72 model????.
Can someone clarify this if I have ever found metric.

Re: Speedo facia studs
A N° 6 UNF would be 40 TPI

Re: Speedo facia studs
A No: 6 UNC thread (which is below 1/4" for attachment purposes) has a TPI of 32.
Additional notes: No: 8 UNC & No: 10 UNC both have a TPI of 32.
No: 6 ANC & No:8 ANC have 32 TPI threads. Strangely No: 10 ANC has 24 TPI.
