Which Part Am I Looking For?

Post by Bigrob »

Evening all

Starting the panel shopping for the Panda, but there's something I'm not sure of.

The part of the rear quarter on which the rear wing bolts has rotten quite significantly.

This doesn't seem to be a part of the inner wing panel so is there another available?

Cheers all

Perfect, thank you Phil.
I was hoping I didn't have to fabricate!

Looking at the amount of rust it might be better to pay the extra £11 and obtain an extended wing mount flange from Morris Minor Centre Birmingham part REPO56A but watch out for the leaded joint just over half way round the wheel arch.

If you purchase the MMCBirmingham panel REP056A you will still need a repair panel to repair the rest of the wing attachment flange.

Having just purchased and fitted REPO56A it is complete and no need for any extra panel, if you view part REPO57A you will see an image for the left hand side. I indeed bought the wing flange repair from ESM before going for the extended version.

In that case the REP056A illustration is wrong/incomplete as it only shows the rear part of the flange repair panel.
Here is the link to REP056A

Brilliant thank you both.

Although excuse my ignorance, but what's the difference between the 2 suggested parts?

The MMCB wing flange repair panel has more metal so will compensate for additional rust damage to the original wing flange and surrounding body panels.

I have a short video clip on you tube showing the repair I carried out on the same panel.

It may assist you.

Perfect I'll get one of these then, thank you. I always prefer panels with more metal.
