Rear Wing Beading

Post by alexmcguffie »

Evening,

What do people use for sealing the rear wing beading these days on saloons? Last time I fitted rear wings was about 25 years ago and I'm sure I used DumDum which is now outlawed I believe.

Alex :)
Glad to be back!

I didn't actually 'seal' mine, I treated all surfaces that were to be bolted together with a wax inhibitor (dinitrol or waxoil?) and let it set for a day or so before bolting it all up.
Only downside I have found is the piping at the front of the offside rear wing squeezes out in the sun!
