Bonnet Release

Post by Alex'n'Ane »

As many have done before, the spring has come off, and the pull handle that goes through into the car detached itself. I've looked back, but the mods seem to stop any-one posting an answer openly... So if someone has an idea/suggestions, pm me if wished, then please do let me know :)

I think this comment is allowed... my advice is to cry!

No need to cry, just run the car up on ramps and release the bonnet catch from underneath.

Found an easy way, thanks to help on the other forum. Problem solved, no need for ramps, long pole etc etc. Will not post it, as to not annoy the mods.. But if needed anyone, can pm me.

Well it's common sense not to post such information on an open forum, and the mods on the forum you mention have taken the same approach and asked people to contact you via pm and not post methods of opening the bonnet from outside the car on a public forum.

When this type of information is posted on the messageboard the mods always get quite a few requests from members asking us to remove it but it doesn't "annoy" us as it's understandable why people want it removed. Glad you got the problem sorted :)

There was once a time when some cars' bonnets could only be opened from outside. Different society these days, sadly.
