Replacement seats

As I cannot afford those nice leather seats from Newton Commercial, I've been looking in the local "Free Ads" paper. I've heard that MG Metro seats are a good option (with the appropriate base fitted) but there are none available at present.
Does anyone know how well Golf GTi or Fiesta XR2 seats may fit into a convertible as there are a few pairs around and what (if any) level of adjustment might need tio be made to accomodate them?.

i have fitted hi-back seats from
a mazda 323, the bases have to be
modified for the minor's sloping floor
the drivers seat has lumber support
adjustment & are very comfy
