Hand break lever

Post by twinkle »

 Hello gang-does anyone know how i can make the handbreak lever a little more friendly to use? Has anyone ever considered how to make the lever better to hold and apply,I saw a item some years ago in a mag 'cant remember which one now 'in which they took a handgrip off a scrap car and fitted it to the Minor and i beleive it was a good fit.Has anyone done this to their car and if so how did you go about it.The very best of regards Twinkle the Traveller and Bill.

hand brake

I think you will find that the grip from a Mini or similar will slide
off the lever and fit straight on to your car. It just pushes on like
a handlebar grip.

I think I read this in Minor Monthly a few years ago and the donor car quoted was an Austin Maestro. I would think they are getting quite rare now!

It's the grip off an MG Metro, fits perfectly!

Floor? I don't see a floor! Just a rusty bit of tin where the floor should be!

You should see the rest of it! pics on link below.
