Fuel line to fuel pump!!

Post by 2011dandd »

Hi apologies for clogging up the forum

So the minor 1000 I bought a couple of weeks ago has had the fuel line cut about 8 inch back from the fuel pump where I assume it would have originally have screwed up.

Instead there is a flexible braided hose with jubilee clips at each end.

Is this a common "mod" or has it been butchered? I can't imagine a jubilee clip arround a hose on the fuel pump thread is any good.

Do they still sell fuel lines anywhere ?

And if so do they still make and sell the nut/olive to tighten up the line to the (in) pump ?

It may have snapped by some over zealous owner with a spanner at some point :D

Get hoses 'anywhere' - but you are right - you should change the pump connector for one suitable to take the clamp-on pipe.

The OP may not have an original Minor SU fuel pump fitted and the replacement pump may only have slide on / Jubilee clip type attachment.
Confirmation of the fuel pump fitted is needed.
