hello new to this just purchased a split screen minor convertible the numbers plates and vin tag have been taken off been sitting in garden for a very long time all i have is engine number can any help with getting reg number engine number is g9rm91184 big letters AD thanks reading

chassis number should be stamped on bulkhead just to the right of bulge where bonnet pull rod comes through......unless it has been ground off.....

Engine number says it isn't an original engine, it is a reconditioned one that has thus lost the identity it had when new.

Look for numerals that are perhaps 5mm high and extend perhaps 4cm across as mentioned above. You might need to carefully chip the paint off. Might also be a set of numbers right at the top of the bulkhead on the other side of the car.
