Carpet Fasterners

Post by geoberni »

Something I only recently because aware of was that Moggie Carpets used to be clipped down to the floor.
It's rare to see this as replacement carpets don't automatically have them.
Even mentions of carpet fasteners on the forum are about as rare as hens teeth.

However, both CW and ESM list them and ESM actually inform us that 10 are required for a carpet set....

So does anyone have a layout of where they are fitted?
My carpets are in quite good condition but do move around a little bit, so I thought about getting some.

Thanks

if you look very carefully at the carpet layout on some of the suppliers websites you can see where they go ( this is from Newton commercials)

there are probably better images on other suppliers websites

Thanks GavinL

Very interesting image, it possibly shows 14 studs, yet the only number quoted that I've seen so far is ESM saying 10 required :-? .

Anyone out there got an original carpet, or photos of their car before restoration?

i can count 10.. are the additional 4 you see the ones at the front edge of the back carpet? if so i would have thought those are the holes for the front seat (hence me not counting them)? i would not have thought you would need any at that point anyway as the front seat holds the carpet down.
