Are there any members who have had adaptations to their Morris Minor because of leg amputation? I’ve just had the op done (right leg) and don’t want to stop driving our Morris. Let me know please, thanks, John

I know hand throttles are a thing - essentially using the throttle cable like the choke cable - and automatic conversions have been done too.

Couldn't comment on legality or where to have such work done though - it might a be a good one to call up the normal restorers and part suppliers about?

Yes I will need to go to a specialist fitter but I’m interested in members experience as well. I can’t be the only one! Thanks, John

Sorry to hear of your operation. I hope you are recovering well.
I seem to recall that there was a 'disabled persons Minor' and have found the following:

"Disability Minors were built in the late 1950s and into the Sixties. Disabled Minors were built after the Minor 1000 was introduced in 1956, but had may things in common with the earlier series 2 models. Early disabled Minors were fitted with 803cc engines with series 2 badges but with the single piece window screens.
All were 2-door saloons, later on in production they had the normal engine size and badges which make them more difficult to spot. Some were fitted with hand controls; all had sliding seats and further opening front doors. Disabled Minors had the standard type plain door panels and did not come with over riders."

The reference to 'hand controls' suggests it is an option.

Hi,
At the end of this post the last poster seems to imply that he has a set of disabled Morris Minor hand controls, it might be worth getting in touch to see if he still has them and if he will sell them to you.
Link below.
Best wishes,
Mike.
