Low Air flow From heater to screen outlets

I have just had a new heater put in my car and the air flow to the screen is very very low Is this normal

The air flow to the car is very powerful though

If it's a Plus2,it could be the seals or positioning of the heater flaps in the heater box or even the tubes to the dash vents partially blocked or loose..

What type of heater do you have ? Check the tubes to the dash vents..

Hi,
I have found that with the standard set up the supply to the screen vents from any Minors heater will be, at best, feeble.
You can get circular drum heaters which have fitted vent flaps for the interior heat supply that can can be closed off, enabling the heat to be more effectively directed to the screen vents, such as the classic Landrover version.
However these can be expensive and that's if you can find one........

Even the front panel on it's own isn't cheap......

Clayton's also manufacture a very good modern replacement, which looks in keeping with the car but again they are expensive.....

I’ve always found that despite the low flow, it’s just about enough to keep the screen clear in all but the most horrendous weather, but the later fresh air heater does a better job. Driving with the quarter light open helps a lot

Great info but i spent 275 on the new heater sot i think ill leave it as long as it does the job
