SU Fuel Pump

Hello and Happy New Year,
I was removing the filter from my pump and it started to leak fuel is this normal and if it is how much fuel should leak out when i remove the filter to check it?

Yes ,you are bound to get a small amount of petrol spillage
when you undo the filter. It should stop pretty quickly though.

It does seem quite a bit, but as long as it stops, I would not worry about the amount.

Do check that it seals correctly when you have cleaned the filter and reinstalled it (pump operational).
