Traveller back seat

Post by Meggie moggy »

Hi all
Newbie question time and hopefully not too silly but is there any difference between a 2 door rear seat and a traveller rear seat ? As I am looking to replace mine or possibly recover.
Thanks in advance πŸ‘πŸ»

Certainly different part numbers for each 4 version of rear seats over the years.
I suspect the shapes are slightly different.
Rear seat for 2 Dr and Tourer are the same, but the Traveller one is designed to be moved around.

Look for a download of AKD 3542, the Morris Minor Body Service Parts catalogue. You'll find it quite useful for such questions.

Completely different I'm afraid. The Traveller seat has a much stronger frame to enable it to hinge and fold down and then carry some weight as a load area. You need the correct seat for each vehicle.

Good stuff. All of us are still learning.
As an aside, I think (and hope) you mean tome rather than tomb
