Classics on the Green Wednesday 4th August Croxley Green

Post by Kevin »

There will be quite a few of us from the Herts Branch at this free mid-week event, if you are going pop along we should have a gazebo up and say Hi.
In case you need directions

Hi
I was at the harpenden show at 4pm, and it was getting very busy.
Will it be worth trying to get to this show at about 5:30, or will the traffic be too bad (I'm coming from St Albans).

Hi Paul, the Croxley show doesn't suffer from the problems that Harpenden does as its not by a town centre and the layout of the site and the entry and exit is quite easy to use, and also some arrive and leave early so a certain number of the cars change around. They also have on site toilets, hog roast, beer waggon ect and there is a pub just down the road, the public parking is on the opposite side of the green so does not clash like at Harpenden.
Cheers

Sorry to have missed you, I think the rain earlier put of some of the cars from coming as there was only 500 or so and normally there are around 1000 cars but those without tops and the convertibles were well down on numbers.
We arrived around 3:30 and were there until 8:30 and only had a couple of small showers, the van you saw is affectionatly known as Junk and the Traveller belongs to Don, mine was the other Smoke Grey Traveller.
we did ask some others in moggies if they were looking for the Herts Branch stand but no joy, what did you arrive in.
Your are more than welcome to come along to our next Branch meeting next wednesday at London Colney.
Cheers
