I purchased this fine example of a 1957 black 4door series 3 Morris Minor from Charles Wares Morris Minor centre 5yrs ago. It made the journey from Bristol back to West Sussex with no problems. The car drives very well and benefits from the suspension and braking upgrades. The comfortable Newton Commercial seats make the car a joy to drive.
The bodywork was professionally restored some time ago to a very high standard. The interior trim is in good condition includes the original door cards.
It has excellent chrome work and the black paintwork really shines and always dry stored in a garage.
The chassis and bodywork is very solid and in excellent condition, the car has been cavity wax injected for protection every 24months in my ownership. Pictures are available of the structure behind all four kick panels.
All the work done on the car in the last 5yrs and parts fitted are fully documented with £2000 worth of receipts plus current (Aug 2020) MOT. Two new front tyres where fitted this year. In my ownership I have given this car all it needs to continue to be in tip top condition.
This is a reliable car that very much evokes the look of the 1950’s period. It has been used sparingly for shows and classic car events and with longer runs to Brooklands and is admired everywhere he goes.
I have the original buff log book and a record of all the previous owners plus MOT’s going back to 1983. I also have a Heritage certificate from Gaydon with the info of the garage that supplied the car and confirming the chassis, body number and key number plus date of manufacture. The original registration number is valuable and I have two quotes in excess of £1000.
