The bad news is while an LCV will always be an LCV, you won't be forever young.
You'll have to devise some kind of "coming of age" ceremony for when people aren't young members any more.
Ideas anyone?

Any more news about the register? How do we join? Is there going to be a section of the forum as there is for customs and mm's etc?

Blimey, Logan's run is a bit harsh, I had in mind something more like;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coming_of_ ... 2C_Ukraine

Or something else from that page.

To join you contact me, at the moment there is no other way to submit your details I'm afraid.

As for a section of the forum etc. I plan to discuss this with Rosie Hamilton at the AGM.

As quoted

Classic alternatives to a Morris Minor
Morris Minors might represent the quintessential student car for many but there are other classics that are cheap to buy, run and insure.
The big advantage with an older car is that it might be eligible for much cheaper classic car insurance.
"Expect to pay at least £2,000 to £3,000 for an 18- to 20-year-old driving a small modern car," says Alan Anderson, editor of Classic Cars for Sale.
But buy a classic and you can get that down to £1,000-£1,200. The catch is that with classic insurance you often have to pay the entire premium up front and there are likely to be restrictions on the mileage you can clock up."
Clearly, you won't get airbags, ESP and ABS on a classic but compensation comes from low-power engines that aren't likely to bring out the boy-racer in your son or daughter.

I am sure the midget owners were happy with their part of the article

MG Midget £2,000-£3,500
"Basically an Austin A35 with Morris Minor steering and a sportier 1,275cc engine. Super-simple to repair yourself. Best-value model is the less attractive rubber-bumper 1,500cc model; nice engine and gearing, plus better trim."
Cheers

Just a quick update to advise that the formation of a Young Members Register has been agreed and was very well received at yesterday's branch liaison meeting. Matt (mcoles) and Andy (sidney 61) will be running the register so I'll leave it to them to post up further details but there will a dedicated Young Members forum coming here soon so watch this space. Well done Matt & Andy! :D

To add to that we're working on a logo that we could use as the regisrty logo, so any budding young artists out there please feel free to post your ideas (must remember to make a thread on this when the young members' section has been created on here) - Modern and something that will attract other young members to join :D
