Since this had dropped down the list, I thought I'd bring it back to the top.

Anyone else intereseted in joining?

ive been absent from the forum since the national.

I visited the branch stand and spoke to someone (cant remember who though  )
I think its a cracking idea!
as mentioned before, a numerical cut off might not be ideal (because then ive got less than 4 years!), maybe an alternative is hinting towards the younger mindset. maybe an area called 80's plus which is aimed at a less sedate audience ;)

a possible meetup could be the day before the national, make it a 3 day show, with day one being a driving day (second and third possibly fixing days :D )

im not autherised to view the members forum as I did not feel that I got anything viable out of the membership so dont have the logins, maybe this might change with an injection of youth.

ooh another name just came into my head "the fountain" (like the fountain of youth) implying freshness and movement

I will pm my details to you.

Just spotted the first bit of publicity for the proposed registry on page 7 in Minor Matters that came today.

Just spoke to a lady who is writing and article on Young Morris Minor owners. It will be in the Telegraph (motoring section) in the next couple of weeks.

We certainly are getting noticed :D

The article was in last Saturday's Daily Telegraph. Can't seem to find it online though :-?

I do object to the article title though... "why young drivers need old bangers"

Ah right, they've only put part of the article on, I'll try and scan the whole thing sometime and put it on here. Not a huge piece about the registry but it's all publicity :D

i'm pretty sure that pic is an MM tourer isn't it?

1. its from 1952- series 2 came in '53
2. it has the flat bonnet flash- the series 2s all had the upright bonnet flash that continued until the end of production

Might add I had nothing to do with the identification of the car
