These windscreen surround finishing clips, which have long been unavailable, have been produced by Ray, a retired RAF engineer from donor parts from an earlier Series II. We have tried them on later models on on one later MM and they fit well, albeit that the new rubbers mean they may require minor (sorry) individual fettling.
I have tried them out on a recently re-chromed set of screen inserts today and they looked great.
We have only produced 50 pairs and I have picked them up from the chromers today. The quality of the finish is top-notch.
If you want, need or simply desire a pair to replace missing, lost, damaged, decayed or simply silver foil substitutes ..... please let me know via FB or email@example.com.
The price of £45 per pair, reflects the time, effort and materials as well as chroming costs that have gone into these and I have already sent out messages to those who reserved them.
First come, first served!

The first of the nearly half production run are going out today which means only 25 or so pairs left. For those who have ordered I have attached stickers showing whether top or bottom as they are 'handed' and we spent a good 5 minutes trying to get a bottom one into the top... (Doh!) There is a small hole in the larger lip which its hidden either in the rubber or by the pillar tongue and this was necessary for the chroming process. As stated, you may find that some minor fettling is needed especially if you have one of the new screen rubbers. Oh and don't do the pillar up too tight as it will put the glass under too much tension and the first pot hole may crack the glass.
