Heater wires

Post by paulhumphries »

I've change the earth on my car to negative and of course now need to swop heater motor wires over.
The wires aren't detachable on actual motor and I can only see the one bullet connector - to the switch.
Am I right in assuming that I need to remove drivers side glove box to gain access ?

Thanks.

Paul Humphries.

I thought the guides for swapping say that you don't need to reverse the heater motor, except on a few early models.

I assume thats because the motor has a field coil rather than a magnet and so will always run in the right direction, have you turned it on to check

Correct, you do not have to change the heater wires over. The +and - or
CB and SW (depending on your coil) leads should be swopped on the coil.
