Can anyone point me in the direction of a engineering firm in Essex, Preferably north in the Colchester, Braintree area that can Re-grind a crank for me?

Would you not be as well to just get an exchange crank from one of the suppliers ? Otherwise - look under 'engine reconitioners' in your local yellow pages. Be sure to fit a new oil pump, and have a look at the oil pressure relief valve. Also worth checking if your filter casing still has the flat plate/seal and spring under the cartridge - otherwise it's doing nothing!

Thanks for the reply. This is not for the Minor's engine, this is for my Yank V8 monster. No one holds an exchange crank for a Chrysler 5.2 Small Block.

Cheers. I have a list of phone numbers I am going to call tomorrow, I'm just checking if anyone has any recommendations before I have any work done.
