Good garage in East London?

Post by Christoph »

I just realized that the Morris Minor Centre in Deptford is now closed. Does anybody have a recommendation in the area? There are some long term bigger jobs that need doing (some welding, a new wing with painting etc.), so I am looking for a good garage that doesn't charge the world and does still do a good job ... Can also be South East or nearby ... Advice very much appreciated.

Or even further afield? I posted my Minor in the "Cars for Sale" section and got a lot of helpful feedback. I love the car, but the bills just kill me (see the post there: "Maroon Traveller, top condition, London"). I am looking for somebody who can do a really good job for a reasonable price ...

The Morris Minor Centre in Deptford have been gone for ages, I don't think they would qualify as a good garage, I would never have recommended them, quite the opposite.

There was a place in Woolwich they moved to Kent, search for morris minor centre West Malling will get the address, couldn't find a web site for them.

There was a place in Walthamstow but they are long gone.
Any body shop should be able to do the work, get one that is classic friendly and don't let them smother everything with underseal!

For all classic car works I can recommend Fisher Services, Unit 11 , Abbey trading Estate, Bellgreen Lane, Lower Sydenham, London SE26 5TW. www.fisher-services.co.uk. The quality of work is very good and the finish will be perfect. Visit their work shop and see their work yourself. Aru
