ok, here goes...i thought my exhaust was 'blowing' but my brother has taken a look and said its the clamp where the outlet manifold meets the exhaust downpipe is where the noise is coming from & exhaust is fine - he doesnt want to attempt a repair as hes unsure whether its exhaust paste or wire wool exhaust washer? can anyone offer advice??
(his words so apologies if i have written it down wrong - hope it makes sense to someone )

Re: outlet manifold meets exhaust downpipe.....
It's exhaust paste- no washers or anything. There's a thread a little bit further down the page- "Emergency Exhaust Question" and that has some advice on doing it, and a little diagram too. Quite easy- just clean all the old exhaust paste off before you put it back together with some new paste, and be careful not to go over the top tightening the clamp, as some of them are made of soft metal and will bend. Good luck!
