Two scrappers
Came across these two recently - a traveller and a 2 door 948 (I think). Traveller looked past saving, the saloon's front I couldn't see. There were also a few other BL cars there - Marina's, Allegro's, Princess, Maxi and 1100. I don't want to reveal the location here as I didn't ask the owner and I respect that. However if anybody is seriously interested...[frame][/frame][frame][/frame]

Re: Two scrappers
Looks to be a few spares in that Traveller. Maybe an abandoned resto?

Re: Two scrappers
C'mon JJ
Open their bonnets and write down the chassis/body & engine numbers!!!
Only takes 5mins to record the gearbox/rear axle and key numbers too!
surely you can do all this without removing your pipe from your lips?!!

Re: Two scrappers
If I go there again I'll try my darndest although I fear they may disintegrate at the slightest touch.
You're right: I shouldn't have to remove my pipe to get at these.

Re: Two scrappers
If these are the two I think they are, about half a mile from me near the centre of a certain south lancs town, they've been there many, many, many, years, the owner of the garage is a strange one, if he's even alive now... Not even sure he was then! I enquired about these when I was sixteen and looking for my first project, I'm forty this year!
Good luck with your enquiries... Should the traveller turn out to be registered 377 VPH by the way... Send me a PM, there's a bit of information I can pass on to any potential purchasers... Just a hunch...

Re: Two scrappers
if anyone does go down to have a look/ potentially purchase, then please do check if thats an early steering wheel- i would rather like one, but refuse to pay some of the prices that i have seen them go up to on ebay- typical minor owner- not tight, just careful- honest!
to be honest, i think if they are a fair price you would easily get your money back if you broke these, and the traveller looks to have a good pair of small sidelight front wings, and they arent that common nowadays...

Re: Two scrappers
Dear chaps, thanks for your concerns. I am alive and well, but sold my Morris some time ago and have been doing other things. I haven't been on the forum for a very long time for various reasons (also not a club member anymore having sold the car).
Thank-you again fellas for your concerns.
