Yes, I saw that program and it was the best classic car based TV I've seen since, the Beetle/Campervan/Kit car "crisis" series. Like the above, FTLoC showed actual work going on with the cars, no fake arguments and no fake drama and no awful humor and no fake buying and selling of classic cars. The "Crisis" series didn't actually have any crisis in it, just a self imposed deadline.

Take note rubbish car program makers such as bernie, Liepu Mark Evans and the equally awful Mike Brewer and Ed China!

Yes, very good program. I think they teased us with a few of bits, "building" the engine, describing the construction of the roof panel. Those are the kind of things we want to see more of.
Having said that, I found the chats with actual owners and the historical bits very entertaining.
All in all the best classic car program for ages. Much better than the volcano car of Johnny Vegas.

I know there has got to be a balance... (I came in 20 mins late) but it seemed to me that there was only about 20% on the actual car - the rest of it was going to meets and the like?

I suppose the title should have indicated it would have little restoration content. Apart from a few instances, just a load of waffle from some big heads. Very disappointing. Still there's no business like show business.

I'd put it at average. Middle aged blokes doing doughnuts an a restoration expert who never had dirty hands! Better than the fat cockney and Canadian but still can't beat Fast n Loud on Discovery.

The rally footage was good - everyone of my age was envious of the Escort Rally cars (not necessarily of the 'Mexico') - while we fiddled about trying to squeeze a wee bit extra power from a Mini engine! As a TR7 owner I should support the Dolly comment - but sadly the fragility of the engine rather lets them down. The Ford engines are pretty well 'unburstable' when properly assembled.

I presume you're refering to the chap on the channel 5 programme? Our family gave up on that half way through the last programe, despite the fiat 500 being a favourite, because of the 'drama' some television producers clearly see the need to cram into their programs.
