laptop
I'm probably the only 20 year old in the western world that can't answer this question, but what would a good cheap laptop be to go for? not needed for much just storing pictures mainly!

Re: laptop
About as much as you are prepared to pay
My dad just quit pc's and bought an iPad so His 1 year old used a handful of times windows 8 is surplus to requirement.
Make me an offer, let me know if you want spec but I reiterate, it's 1 year approx old and a Sony windows 8 so storage City I would expect. It would of course be formatted back to factory and will come in the original box.

Re: laptop
I will be replacing my laptop as the battery on mine has failed, the so called replacement battery's are pants so I am waiting for the release of Windows 10 in the summer before I replace it.
You may want to consider the same as any new one you buy will come with windows 8, which as an O/S is rubbish.
That said you could buy a refurbished one with windows 7 installed.
But to answer your main question, a laptop to browse the Internet and store photos, if you pay around the £300 mark you will get one to suit your needs.
For example, http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/laptops-n ... html#cat-0
One word of advice though, buy yourself a portable usb hard drive to keep a backup of your photos and any documents you create.

Here's a link to a fair one for what you want http://www.saverstore.com/product/20792 ... are-1-Year. If I needed a replacement I would probably go for this one. Good luck.
